Battlefield Hardline is an interesting departure from the original Battlefield formula because it places us in between a cops versus robbers scenario. The plot for this game is a little cliché in my opinion but it does a great job when it comes to introducing you to the game mechanics and other opportunities as you go around.

Basically you have the ability to play either as a police unit or criminal and each one of these categories has various equipment, tools and skills at their disposals. Criminals use state of the art teach, whereas police units have handcuffs, tasers, pistols and so on. You get the Levolution mechanic that changes the map as you play but at the same time there are quite a lot of game modes.

While the heist mode is very popular, many people also enjoy Blood money which requires each faction to get money from the center of the map and bring in to the base. These are only a few of the many game modes to be had in Battlefield Hardline and I did find the game to offer quite a lot of variety all the time. It’s a true pleasure to play mainly because you have the ability to find some interesting rewards as you go along. The plot is quite predictable to be honest however the game modes are solid and they do tend to bring in front some interesting opportunities all around.

The singleplayer campaign is different when compared to the other Battlefield games but there are moments in which you will find it a little linear. I do appreciate the fact that they integrated a stealth element because that really takes the experience to new heights and it helps you play the game with a new perspective.

It’s nice to see that the game does a great job when it comes to offering you a stellar game play, and even if the plot might not be as good as you would expect, it certainly has its moments that you will appreciate right off the bat. I liked the fact that they didn't copy BF4 for example and instead they wanted to come with a new approach. It is a bold move and a very good one too, so it’s well worth your time.

Graphically the game is an improvement over BF4 even if it uses the same engine. You get a similar feel to BF4 and even if the game world is not as large as in the aforementioned game the details are there and you have quite a lot of nice mechanics to use which is always a plus.

In the end I feel that Battlefield Hardline is a really good game and despite the fact that some might not like the change in the series that this game offers, it’s still a very good, fun experience to be had so you should totally check it out!
