Day 1 ended on a high note, but Day 2 turned out to be even more exciting! Today only the Loser Bracket Matches were being played. 4 Teams in CS:GO and 4 Teams in DOTA 2 battled it out over the day. At the end of the day some teams stayed back with rekindled hope and some left heartbroken. Here are the highlights of DAY 2 of the 2016 Masters.

Each Match played in the Loser Brackets was a Best of Three.

CS:GO

MATCH 1 – RISKY GAMING vs OVERCOME

After suffering a surprising defeat at the hands of Dare 2 Dream yesterday, Risky entered today’s games quite pumped up. In the first game, they routed Overcome 16-6 but it was the second match which was tantalizing. Overcome put up a good fight but it was not enough to guarantee them a win. Risky ended the game at 16-11 and have trained their sights on the next round. However, it was a bad beat for Overcome.

MATCH 2 – BRUTALITY VS DESTRUCTIVE 5

The games played between Brutality versus Destructive 5 were a treat to watch, however Destructive 5 held the upper-hand throughout. In Game 1 after trailing for quite some time, Brutality almost made a comeback, but were cut short by skilful play by D5’s Huntr. Game 2 was similar to Game 1. Interestingly, the scores for both games were the same, 16-14 in favour of D5.

DOTA 2

MATCH 1 – INVISIBLE WINGS VS INSTINCT.CIRCLE GAMING

After knocking out 4Merical from the tournament, ICG looked quite confident but it was Invisible Wings’ superior skill which beat them. However, Invisible Wings snuffed out ICG’s hopes very quickly by beating them in both games back to back. Invisible Wings proceeds to the next round, while ICG will be returning home.

MATCH 2 – ORAM PO VS 3C4DA

This was one sticky match set between both teams as they got the best out of each other. This was also the only Best of Three games which entered the third game phase. Oram Po won the first game by implementing a similar draft they used against ICG in their first match yesterday. But the scores were squared after 3C4DA beat them in Game 2. It all came down to the third game as these two teams refused to be separated. However it was 3C4DA who had the last laugh and sent a reluctant Oram Po packing home.
