No Man’s Sky is one of the most anticipated games of 2016, and with the August release date fast approaching, fans have been eager to get learn more info about the open world space sim. Many have been a bit too eager, to the point that when the developer Hello Games announced that the release would be delayed, the company was flooded with death threats over the delay.

Well one player, going by the name Daymeeuhn, must know that you can catch more flies with honey than vinegar, instead of spewing threats, Daymeeuhn purchased a leaked copy of No Man’s Sky on Ebay for the hefty sum of $1250 according to his Reddit post. Upon receiving his copy of the game, Daymeeuhn immediately began posting gameplay videos to Daily Motion.

The videos have since been removed from Daily Motion due copyright infringement, but for those who want to see the gameplay videos, these can be found easily enough on YouTube. No guarantees on how long these reposts will stay up, but from what can be seen in the videos so far confirms a lot of what’s been said about the game.

The gameplay opens with the player waking up on an alien world next to a damaged smoking ship.  From here the player must venture out into the alien environment to find the proper materials to repair his ship. Much of the gameplay looks similar to what’s already been seen in the Exploration and Survival trailers, though it does give a clearer picture of what playing the game will actually look like.
