Sony to skip Gamescom?

The exhibitor list and hall plans recently posted by Gamescom on their website potentially confirms that Sony is planning to once again skip the conference, and eventually also delay their unveiling of PS Neo.

Gamescom, a Germany based games’ conference, has been under the limelight for past few years. In addition to being the biggest European gaming convention, it has also been the go to destination for both gamers and major gaming companies.

Now considering the scale of the event, along with the fact that it is scheduled only under a month, it was expected that Sony might reveal their much expected console, PS Neo at the event. However, the exhibitor list and hall plans recently posted by Gamescom on their website potentially confirms that Sony is planning to once again skip the conference, and eventually also delay their unveiling of PS Neo.

In 2015, Sony opted to skip Gamescom in favor of attending an international media briefing during the smaller Paris Games Week conference. Considering that Paris Games Week typically kicks off during the height of the holiday game season late in October, Sony could once again choose to showcase its offerings during this more important period.
