Starbreez acquires Payday rights, promising 3rd edition

Starbreez one of the renowned video game development companies, known for games like The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay, Payday 2 and Brothers: A Tale of Two Son, has revealed that it has successfully acquired the full rights for the Paydey IP from 505 Games.

Following the multimillion dollar deal Starbreez has also confirmed the release of 3rd edition of the franchisee.

Starbreeze CEO Bo Andersson Klint said, “Payday is very close to my heart, and has laid the foundation for Starbreeze success in recent years. We’re very excited to bring our heisters home to the safe house.”

He had also mentioned that Payday 2 will receive more contents for upcoming 18 months and the gamers wouldn’t have to worry about any aftermath of the acquisition.
