MLG Columbus has set a new record in the viewership count for a Counter Strike: Global Offensive event. A total of 1.6 million people have watched the event all over the world, while more than 10,000 fans have attended the event every day from the stands of Nationwide Arena, Columbus. The event can now easily be pronounced as the biggest CS:GO event till date in terms of prize pool and viewership, beating the previous record of 1.3 million of ESL Cologne from last year.

Luminosity bagged the championship crown in the grand finals in a rather one sided match-up against Natus Vincere. The next major is scheduled for the month of July at ESL Cologne.
