The recent update for The Division has been putting up a lot of challenge for the fans, especially for the avid gamers who would like to test their limit by attempting the highest level of difficulty, the challenge mode. Following is a guide to transform the so called extreme level of difficulty into a piece of cake.

The primary and vital ingredient to complete the challenge mode is discipline; every player will have to prioritize with their task. The enemy you will face are level 34 elites, who can by the way one-shot even the tankiest of all. The team should consist of at least one support and marksman. Every player in your squad will have to run with a healing skill, additionally crowd control skills are important. To make yourself durable to rushes you will also have to pick damage resistance. All these are included with other general enhancement skills to amplify damage and fear tactics or wild fire if you are using turrets.

Now starting with the basics of the Incursion. Falcone lost is a wave based activity in which the primary objective is to take out the APC. It cannot be destroyed by simply firing bullets, you will have to plant bombs in their back. It takes four bombs to destroy the APC and all these bombs are dropped by specific enemy units in round 4, 8, 11, and 15. It is important to note that the bomb can be planted only by the person who has picked it up. So it is necessary to have a designated bomb collector who will have to be equipped with adequate damage resistance to tank up enemy fire while planting the bomb.

Once your team clears up the enemy welcome party followed by the drones, the actual Incursion starts. You will have to jump out of the window as a team so that no one is left behind to get hit by the mortar fire from APC. Then you will have to take a right and stick to the corner to face the shotgun rushers as it’s easier to flash them up. Once the wave is cleared you will have to move down to the sunken trench present at the middle of the map. This will be the place you will be fighting for the rest of the time as you can avoid mortar shots and it is relatively easier to take down enemies when they approach from the stairs. The only time you will be leaving is when you will need to disable turrets or plant the bomb. You can reload at the restock box present nearby when you are out of ammunition.

Moving forward your primary objective will be to take down the rushers and peak from the stairs to snipe out the enemies. During the drone stages flash bang will come handy to freeze the enemy for ample amount of time for easy picking. Fourth round will be the first time you will have to place the bomb which is carried by the enemy unit with a diamond shape highlighted on its head. Clear the enemies as soon as possible as they keep re-spawning in intervals and then plant the bomb. Keep repeating the same process until wave 9 as the Hacker will start spawning from the next wave. To avoid losing your turrets to the hacker be sure to switch to the flash bangs.

The final wave has a little twist: if you clear all the enemies, they will keep spawning. So prioritize on the strategic targets: Rushers, hackers, snipers, grenadiers and medics. After your path of approach to the APC is cleared, avoid engaging enemies and rush for the plant and claim the victory.

The above strategy is quite effective in keeping your squad alive. Do share with us your experience in the comment section.
